Pressure Vessel Steel Plate

09MnNiDR Low Temperature Vessel Plate -70C

09MnNiDR vessel plate, normalized with -70C impact toughness, simulated PWHT 620+/-14C, UT to NB/T47013.3-2023 Class I.

09MnNiDR goes deepest in the Chinese vessel system: guaranteed impact energy at -70 deg C, thanks to about 0.5% nickel in the chemistry. Our production follows the strict routine this grade deserves - normalized delivery, simulated post-weld heat treatment at 620 plus or minus 14 deg C, and ultrasonic testing to NB/T 47013.3 Class I.

Grades and Standards

  • GB/T 713 (formerly GB/T 3531) 09MnNiDR
  • Close European counterpart: 11MnNi5-3 per EN 10028-4

Sizes and Supply

  • Thickness 6-60 mm, widths 2000-2500 mm
  • Shell courses, heads blanks and cut-to-size parts

Delivery Condition and Testing

Simulated PWHT tests at both the maximum (8 hours) and minimum (2 hours) hold times can be supplied, so fabricators see certified properties across the full treatment window. Charpy at -70 deg C is on the 3.1 MTC, not promised verbally.

Where This Plate Goes

  • LNG and liquid ethylene storage
  • Cryogenic separation columns
  • Low-temperature heat exchangers

Questions Buyers Ask

Q: Do you provide both Max and Min PWHT simulation data? A: Yes, both curves on request - that is exactly what a vessel fabricator needs before qualifying the welding procedure.
Q: Lead time? A: This grade runs on tight production schedules; stock exists in common thicknesses but project quantities need 25-40 days. Plan for it.
