Stainless Steel Plate
310S Stainless Steel Plate
310S heat-resistant stainless steel plate for furnaces, heat treatment equipment and high temperature service up to 1050C.
310S is the heat-resistant austenitic: 25% chromium, 20% nickel. Where 304 starts losing the fight above 600 deg C, 310S keeps its strength and its oxide scale stays put in continuous service up to about 1000 deg C. Furnace builders and heat-treat shops specify it for a reason.
Grades and Standards
- ASTM A240 310S, EN 10088-2 1.4845, GB/T 4237
- Low carbon (0.08% max) version of 310 - better weldability, same heat resistance
- 309S available if your service sits in the 800-950 deg C band and budget matters
Sizes and Stock
- Thickness 3-60 mm, width 1000-2000 mm, lengths to 9000 mm
- Plasma and waterjet cutting in-house for fixture plates and burner blanks
Quality Documents
EN 10204 3.1 MTC standard. Elevated-temperature tensile tests can be ordered when your design code asks for proof beyond room-temperature numbers.
Where This Plate Goes
- Furnace liners, doors and ducting
- Heat treatment baskets, fixtures and radiant tubes
- Burner nozzles, kiln parts, cement plant components
- Boiler and combustion equipment internals
Questions Buyers Ask
Q: Will 310S scale at 900 deg C? A: It forms a stable chromium oxide layer there; continuous service to about 1000 deg C is the norm, 1035 deg C intermittent. Above that, look at nickel alloys instead.
Q: 310S or 309S? A: Over 900 deg C or in cyclic service, take 310S. 309S handles moderate heat at a friendlier price.
