Stainless Steel Plate

316Ti Stainless Steel Plate

Titanium stabilized 316Ti stainless steel plate with excellent intergranular corrosion resistance for welded chemical and power equipment.

316Ti is 316 stabilized with titanium, built for one specific problem: sensitization during long exposure at 450-850 deg C or in thick multi-pass welds. Where plain 316L would slowly lose its corrosion resistance in hot service, the titanium carbides lock the chromium in place.

Grades and Standards

  • ASTM A240 316Ti, EN 10088-2 1.4571, GB/T 4237
  • Titanium content 5 x C to 0.70% - the stabilization ratio matters, ours arrives certified

Sizes and Stock

  • Thickness 3-60 mm, width 1000-2000 mm
  • Cut-to-size and edge preparation available before shipment

Quality Documents

EN 10204 3.1 MTC with titanium ratio on the certificate. Intergranular corrosion test per ASTM A262 practice E can be ordered when the application is critical - it is the proof that stabilization did its job.

Where This Plate Goes

  • Exhaust systems and manifolds running hot
  • Chemical equipment with long high-temperature exposure
  • Thick-walled welded vessels in corrosive service

Questions Buyers Ask

Q: 316Ti or 316L? A: For most welded equipment, 316L is enough. Choose 316Ti when service temperature sits above roughly 500 deg C, or when thick sections see multi-pass welding and post-weld heat treatment is not an option.
Q: Is 316Ti harder to source? A: It runs thinner through the market than 316L. We hold stock and confirm availability the same day you ask.
RFQ with working temperature and wall thickness gets you a straight answer on grade choice.
