Wear Resistant Steel Plate
Mn13 High Manganese Steel Plate
Mn13 high manganese steel plate, water toughened T1 grade, work hardening under impact for crusher parts and railway crossings.
Mn13 high manganese steel plays the opposite game to NM plate: it starts around 200 HB and work-hardens past 500 HB under repeated impact. Under a crusher jaw it just gets harder; under a steady abrasive slide it does nothing special. Pick it for impact wear, not sliding wear.
Grades and Standards
- GB/T 5680 ZGMn13 series, water toughened (T1 grade)
- Impact energy guaranteed at -20 deg C on request
- Non-magnetic - useful where that matters (some B HVAC and electrical fixtures)
Sizes and Supply
- Thickness 6-60 mm, widths 1500-2200 mm
- Plasma cutting only - flame cutting work-hardens the edge; drilling is specialist work, so design for bolt-through slots
Quality Documents
Water toughening (solution treatment) records ship with EN 10204 3.1 MTC. Low-temperature impact certificates available for rail and cold-region applications.
Where This Plate Goes
- Crusher jaws, mantles and liner plates
- Railway crossings and switch components
- Bucket lips and impact hammers
- Dredging equipment subject to rock impact
Questions Buyers Ask
Q: Mn13 or NM500 for my application? A: Heavy repeated impact - Mn13; sharp sliding abrasion with little impact - NM500. Mixed duty leans Mn13 because it cannot crack the way hard plates can.
Q: Can I machine it? A: Practically no, once work-hardened. Design for plasma cutting and grinding, or tell us and we supply pre-machined holes before toughening.
Describe the wear environment honestly - impact energy, material size, angle of attack - and we will match the grade instead of selling the expensive one.
