NM400/NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate

NM400/NM450 abrasion resistant steel plate 3-90mm for loaders, dump truck bodies, excavators and mining equipment.

NM400 and NM450 are through-hardened abrasion plates running about 400 and 450 HBW on the surface, with enough toughness to bend and weld in a normal fabrication shop. NM400 is the general-purpose choice for chutes and liners; step up to NM450 when parts run thin or the material being handled is sharp and fast-moving.

Quality Documents

Hardness is tested on every plate and the readings ship with the MTC (EN 10204 3.1). Ultrasonic testing and flatness reports available for lining projects where fit matters.

Questions Buyers Ask

Q: NM400 or NM450 for my liners? A: If weight matters or the abrasive is sharp (quartz, shot), NM450 pays for itself. For general bulk handling at moderate speed, NM400 is the value pick.
Q: Can it be bent? A: Yes - minimum bend radius roughly 3-4x thickness at room temperature for NM400, with preheating around 150-200 deg C for thick or tight bends. Tell us the bend and we will confirm before cutting.
